Under hot August sun, riders tackled five demanding stages, climbing high into the alpine and dropping into some of Whistler Blackcomb&#8217;s most iconic terrain.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The race began at the base of Blackcomb and later climbed toward one of the most scenic vantage points in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park \u2013&nbsp;Top of the World. Throughout the day, riders descended through a mix of high-speed bike park trails, raw singletrack, and technical descents before finishing with a punishing top-to-bottom run into the Whistler Boneyard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/crankworxwhistler-2025-canadianopenenduro-weitienho.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45502\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Wei Tien Ho \/ photo: Clint Trahan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elite Debut Triumph for Hoskin and Jamieson&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The women&#8217;s race saw a new name rise to the top.&nbsp;Elly Hoskin, last year&#8217;s U21 Canadian Open Enduro winner, stepped into the Elite category and immediately made her mark, clocking the fastest time on four of five stages to take a commanding victory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>I definitely went a little too hard on that last stage and had a little spill. But we hung on to it, so I&#8217;m happy.<\/p><cite>Elly Hoskin<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/crankworxwhistler-2025-canadianopenenduro-ellyhoskin.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45499\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Elly Hoskin \/ photo: Clint Trahan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fellow Canadian Andr\u00e9ane Lathier Nadeau&nbsp;earned silver, bouncing back from narrowly missing the podium last year. In third, a familiar face from Crankworx socials, Katy Winton once again showed that her racing days are far from over, as she celebrated her return to Crankworx Whistler Enduro racing \u2013 her first since 2018.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The men&#8217;s competition was a showcase of Canadian depth and talent. BC local&nbsp;Elliot Jamieson&nbsp;took the stage, racing through the final stage \u2013 and almost through the race tape as he charged into the finish &#8211; to not only claim his first-ever Crankworx Elite podium, but also his first gold. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>I kept it smooth. No crashes or mechanicals or anything, and I think that was the key today. I felt like I maybe wasn&#8217;t on the limit, but I was just keeping it consistent, and then, by the end, I knew I needed to turn it up.<\/p><cite>Elliot Jamieson<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/crankworxwhistler-2025-canadianopenenduro-elliotjamieson.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45498\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Elliot Jamieson \/ photo: Clint Trahan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just behind him,&nbsp;Wei Tien Ho&nbsp;proved incredibly fast, winning three of five stages but missing the top step by less than a second over the entire race.&nbsp;Lief Rodgers&nbsp;capped off an all-Canadian podium with a consistent performance across all stages, crossing the finish line 21.1 seconds slower than Ho. Monday kicks off with the Garbanzo DH and aMTB Tech DH, before Air DH takes the stage on Tuesday, and crowds flood Skiers Plaza for the Official Whip-Off World Championships presented by POC on Wednesday. A jam-packed Friday kicks off the final Crankworx days of this year, with the RockShox Canadian Open DH on the legendary 1199 trail, before the newest addition to the schedule, the Outdoor Research Trick Showdown, lights up the Whistler Boneyard as some of the world&#8217;s best Freeride and Slopestyle athletes compete in this NBA Slam Dunk-style event. Crowd-pleasing Red Bull Joyride is live Saturday morning, before the festival moves into head-to-head action with the Ultimate Pump Track Challenge Saturday night, and the Specialized Dual Slalom to close out the festival on Sunday.
