Earlier in the day, the\u00a0Crankworx Slopestyle in Memory of\u00a0McGazza crowned two new winners, with rookie\u00a0Johanna Nussbaumer\u00a0breaking through in her first-ever Diamond-level competition and\u00a0David\u00a0Godziek\u00a0once again proving\u00a0nearly untouchablein slopestyle competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the sun began to set over Skyline Rotorua, the five-day festival concluded with the\u00a0Elite Finals of the\u00a0Crankworx Rotorua Dual Slalom. Set against stunning views of the\u00a0Whakarewarewa\u00a0Forest and Lake Rotorua, fans\u00a0lined\u00a0the challenging side-by-side course as riders attacked the track with\u00a0high speeds, momentum, and razor-sharp\u00a0technique. After a week packed with sunshine, festival energy, and world-class racing, the Dual Slalom delivered a fitting final showdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jordi\u00a0Scott Claims First Gold of the Season\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The women\u2019s bracket built toward an exciting final between two of the sport\u2019s biggest names.\u00a0In the semifinals,\u00a0reigning Queen of Crankworx Jordi Scott\u00a0edged out\u00a0Louise Ferguson\u00a0to advance to the gold medal match, where she faced\u00a0local downhill star Jenna Hastings.\u00a0<br><br>The final proved to be a tight battle, with both riders pushing hard through the berms and rhythm sections. Over the two runs, the\u00a0two-time King of Crankworx\u00a0built enough of a margin to claim victory by\u00a00.714 seconds.\u00a0In the bronze medal match-up,\u00a0Richie Rude faced\u00a0Dane Jewett in another tight duel. With some distance but still well within striking range, reigning Queen&nbsp;Jordi Scott&nbsp;currently sits in&nbsp;third place with 191 points.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the men\u2019s side, the&nbsp;King of Crankworx standings&nbsp;show one clear leader.&nbsp;Two-time King of Crankworx Ryan Gilchrist&nbsp;sits comfortably at the top with&nbsp;531 points, while&nbsp;Tegan Cruz&nbsp;follows with&nbsp;338 points.
