From the first early-season laps to golden autumn rides, everything is set for a long and diverse bike summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/04\/bikekingdom-2026-filipzuan-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10732\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Filip Zuan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Season start and operating times<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 bike season in Lenzerheide gets underway on 14 May in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Bikeparks\/Bike-Kingdom-Park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Kingdom Park<\/a>, marking the start of the pre-season. Following the Ascension weekend, operations continue on weekends before the Rothorn gondola switches to daily service from 4 June.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Regions\/Arosa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arosa<\/a>\u00a0follows on 30 May, while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Bikeparks\/Alpenbikepark-Chur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alpenbikepark Chur<\/a>\u00a0already opens its first lines on 2 May. Between Lenzerheide, Arosa and Chur stretches a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Tours-and-Trails\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vast network of natural singletracks<\/a>, each with its own character. The H\u00f6rnli Trail in Arosa is a perfect example of flow riding, offering a consistent rhythm and pure fun, while The Great White on the Parpaner Weisshorn brings a more alpine, technical challenge that demands precision and focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those looking to link it all together, the tour options deliver the full Bike Kingdom experience. It all starts with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Events\/Opening\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Kingdom Opening<\/a>\u00a0from 6-7 June in Lenzerheide, featuring races, side events and a proper kick-off party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just two weeks later comes the season&#8217;s first major highlight: the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtbworldcup.ch\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Anniversary Edition X&#8221; of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series<\/a>\u00a0from 19-21 June. For the tenth time, the international elite returns to Lenzerheide to compete in Short Track, Cross-Country Olympic and Downhill. Around the races, the event has evolved into a full-on festival, blending highend performance mountain biking, community, vast exhibition and party like hardly any other UCI World Cup venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">July is all about community and creativity. At\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Events\/Last-Rider-Standing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Last Rider Standing<\/a>\u00a0on 4 July, teams of two race against the gondola itself, while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Events\/Bike-Kingdom-Hunt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Kingdom Hunt Arosa<\/a>\u00a0(10-12 July) challenges teams to combine strategy, navigation and trail skills. In August, the focus shifts to families with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Events\/Family-Bike-Vibes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Family Bike Vibes<\/u><\/a>\u00a0in Arosa (7-9 August), before the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikekingdom.ch\/en\/Events\/Testride\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Kingdom Testride<\/a>\u00a0(4-6 September) offers the chance to test the latest bikes and gear. As a pilot region, Vaz\/Obervaz is implementing a new system that combines a visible base network of trails, clear destination signage and improved on-trail information. The goal is to make navigation more intuitive and better reflect the full trail offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the Bike Kingdom Learning Lab in Canols is being expanded into a dedicated training hub for kids and families. New tech lines, a jumpline and structured practice areas create a safe space where riding skills and responsible trail behavior go hand in hand.
