{"id":2238,"date":"2016-02-07T12:49:38","date_gmt":"2016-02-07T11:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/?p=2238"},"modified":"2016-02-16T13:58:59","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T12:58:59","slug":"enduro-world-series-2016-wild-card-selections-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/misc\/2016\/enduro-world-series-2016-wild-card-selections-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"Enduro World Series 2016: Wild Card selections revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">\n<h3>The Enduro World Series is delighted to announce the 30 lucky riders who have been awarded Wild Card Status for the 2016 race season.<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Over 150 riders from 27 different nations applied to be considered for a Wild Card spot, which would guarantee them entry to their chosen races this summer. The Wild Card system is designed to recognise those riders who could demonstrate exceptional talent and deserve a chance to prove it but may not have achieved a reserved place due to injury, young age or geographical location. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">All applications were carefully considered by EMBA and eventually whittled down to just 30 riders. Chris Ball, Managing Director of the Enduro World Series, said it wasn&#8217;t an easy process. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"justify\">We were all really impressed with the number and the quality of the applications received. However, this made our job incredibly difficult &#8211; there were a lot of very deserving athletes. We had applications from World Champions right through to young riders making their mark on their local scene, and our selection reflects that. In an ideal world we would like to be able to offer a place to everyone who wants to race, but as this isn\u2019t possible we believe we\u2019ve picked the very best candidates that represent a wide spread of background and experience.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/02\/enduro-world-series-2016-chile.jpg\" alt=\"Enduro World Series 2016: Wild Card selections revealed\"><br \/>\n<em>Enduro World Series 2016 first round &#8211; 26-27 march, Valdivia, Chile<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Successful Wild Card candidates, along with successful lottery applicants, are now posted on the Enduro World Series website.
