The result is a perfect blend of pedaling efficiency with downhill prowess. We redesigned the Switch Infinity mechanism specifically for 100mm of travel. It\u2019s light, and tucks behind the seat tube so we can accommodate a water bottle in the front triangle. Big days require big bottles. Instead of chasing featherweight on the build, we spec\u2019d the bike as we tested it. You can find here parts like Fox Transfer post, Maxxis 2.3 tires, and 180mm front rotor. It\u2019s still light, but also right. The SB100 quickly gained a reputation for its climbing ability and for how it descends. It\u2019s the bike of choice for those who race in XC or multi-day stage races. The geometry features a slacker head angle, so it\u2019s well-mannered and poppy on the descent, while the seat tube angle is steep, to keep you over the pedals and efficient when climbing. We redesigned the Switch Infinity mechanism specifically for 100mm of travel. It\u2019s light, and tucks behind the seat tube so we can accommodate a water bottle in the front triangle. Both Switch Infinity designs utilize a translating pivot point that allows us to tune the suspension kinematics to our desired characteristics. The SB100 Switch Infinity link is rotated 90 degrees to allow for slimmer, more efficient packaging and is lighter than the previous design. We worked with FOX to independently test the mechanism for durability and wear and tear in the harshest conditions.
