The ultimate BIKE REPUBLIC S\u00d6LDEN inaugurates its longest line, pampers all citizens and celebrates a unique comeback. The legendary TRAILMASTER CHALLENGE – one of the most exciting multi stage races of the biking scene – will find its new home in S\u00f6lden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wide open Alpine area offers not only a network \nof perfectly maintained routes, but also an all-around pampering \nprogram. You can choose from more than 30 Alpine huts, mountain inns and\n restaurants. Down in the valley you\u2019ll find top equipped bicycle and \nrepair shops plus 4 professional bike wash stations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long line. Non stop.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
As\n the citizens of the BIKE REPUBLIC are so hungry, in 2019 they can enjoy\n the second route over 7 kilometers – the new GAHE LINE, meandering on \n7.6 kilometers from the high Alpine Giggijoch area towards Sonnblick \nrestaurant and the hamlet of Gr\u00fcnwald. The flowing “surf” route also \nconnects the HARBE with the LETTN LINE and thus offers some 12 km and \n1000 altitude meters of finest biking pleasure. GAHE is an \u00d6tztal \ndialect word and means “fast, nimble” and you can actually gain loads of\n speed on this new line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore\n the GAHE is even longer than the legendary TE\u00c4RE LINE and the OLLWEITE,\n the REPUBLIC’s high Alpine highlight ride which starts close to the \nglacier fields below the Langegg lift top station at 2600 m above sea \nlevel – twirling down to the valley on extremely varied 7 kilometers \nincl. thrilling banked turns, slightly blocked and stony terrain, and \nwooden constructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\n the BIKE REPUBLIC Opening manufacturers are presenting (and also \nrenting) the season’s brand new material in the EXPO area, featuring a \ngigantic Big Air facility perched above them, on which pros and amateurs\n perform their skillful tricks high up in the air. Down on the ground \nyou can admire the Danny MacAskill Drop & Roll Show. Additionally, \nthe Austrian Pump Track Series is scheduled. And of course, the first \nabsolute highlight of the season for all endurists is on the program as \nwell: the legendary Paperchase Event – one of the most fun-packed racing\n highlights the mountain bike scene has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BIKE REPUBLIC National Holiday: 06.\u201308.09.2019 <\/h4>\n\n\n\n
There is also a varied side and entertainment program on occasion of the BIKE REPUBLIC\u2019s national holiday: including EXPO area, bike rides and courses, a huge activity program for children plus culinary treats which are an absolute must: craft beer, barista and barbecue. The BIKE REPUBLIC will see the season’s probably most fabulous comeback. From September 2019, all trail-hungry friends of relaxed dueling competitions have every reason to celebrate: The legendary “Trailmaster Challenge” multi-stage race comes back after a six-year break and has found a new home in the BIKE REPUBLIC S\u00d6LDEN. On this year’s national holiday from 06 to 08 September 2019, a new era begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10\n years ago, this fabulous event was launched by Freeride Pro Rob Heran \nand became a seasonal highlight par excellence for both ambitious hobby \nriders and professional athletes. On occasion of the Bike Republic \nS\u00f6lden National Holiday, taking place from 06 to 08 September 2019, the \nnew “Trailmaster Challenge” champions will fight for their chance at \nglory in S\u00f6lden. The battle for the title requires excellent skills in \nthree different disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n competition starts on Friday, 06 September, at nightfall. The first \nchallenge under floodlights comprises a quite short but technically \ndemanding Downhill Sprint. The finish line is in the Expo Area next to \nGaislachkogl base station where also the first winner of the day will be\n announced. Of course, music and fine food are provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saturday\n begins in a very leisurely way. Both in the Expo Area and on the \nmountain, the exhibitors’ new 2020 bikes can be thoroughly tried and \ntested. But in the afternoon, the motto is again full speed ahead: “Race\n Mode” is the ultimate slogan – as soon as the participants in the Dual \nSlalom fight for more and more points. Man against man, woman against \nwoman, and also junior against junior at the Trailmaster Kids Race. A \ntruly exciting competition is scheduled on a newly installed track with \nobstacles for all skill levels. A knockout system is used to fight for \nthe lead and every centimeter as this challenge is not only about the \nday’s victory but also about the points that count for the overall \nstanding. Another highlight not to be missed is the evening Whip Off \nJump Contest, where the pros ring in the unrivaled Saturday Party. Dear \nparty animals, take care: the superb highlight follows the next morning!\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On\n Sunday, the winner of the Trailmaster Challenge will be crowned in the \nfinal competition. After the mass start, the ambitious participants must\n conquer 1500 challenging downhill meters on the best lines and trails \nof the Bike Republic S\u00f6lden. The magical blend of stamina, tactics, \ntechnical skill and – above all – willpower is absolutely needed here to\n master this downhill stage at a stretch. Who crosses the finish line \nfirst is probably closer than ever to the “Trailmaster 2019” title. But \nonly the best athlete who could master the different challenges on all \nthree days will be the new Trailmaster Champion at the top of the \npodium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite all these ambitious race stages, the Trailmaster Challenge is nevertheless a very relaxing event, celebrating a sense of common spirit and the variety of mountain biking sports within the Bike Republic S\u00f6lden. The number of participants is limited to 200 starters. From early April onwards, you can officially register for a starting place online at bikerepublic.soelden.com\/trailmasterchallenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
