Athletes vying for the elusive titles of&nbsp;King and Queen of Crankworx&nbsp;(fought over the course of season, and with a $20,000 prize attached to each) must master the hustle required to shift between disciplines, training, seeding and competition, sometimes all within a day. In 2018 she stepped up to her first elite podium, coming in third in the pro women\u2019s category on the Crankworx Innsbruck pump track. The past two years he\u2019s taken wins in Speed &amp; Style and on the Pump Track, while also pulling in consistent Slope results. Most recently he followed up a win in the RockShox Rotorua Pump Track Challenge with a second place Slopestyle finish the next day. In Rotorua, he took on five events over the festival\u2019s six days, bookending with a win in the 100% Dual Slalom Rotorua, and a second place finish in the Giant Toa Enduro presented by CamelBak. He now sits just six points behind Lemoine in the running for King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Watch for him:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>100% Dual Slalom Innsbruck<\/li><li>RockShox Innsbruck Pump Track Challenge<\/li><li>iXS Innsbruck Downhill presented by Raiffeisen Club<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/03\/crankworx-rotorua-2019-speedstyle-billmeaclem.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5142\"\/><figcaption>Billy Meaclem, Crankworx Rotorua 2019<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Billy Meaclem (NZL)<\/em>&nbsp;stormed onto the scene in Rotorua, capturing the admiration of fans, and commanding the respect of fellow riders. \u201cIt feels like a fairytale story for him,\u201d said Martin S\u00f6derstr\u00f6m after his defeat at the hands of \u201cBilly the Kid.\u201d \u201cThis could be a big start for a big career.\u201d Meaclem now sits in third in King race, thanks to four top-five results in Rotorua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Watch for him:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>RockShox Innsbruck Pump Track Challenge<\/li><li>Mons Royale Speed &amp; Style Innsbruck<\/li><li>Official European Whip-Off Championships presented by SPANK<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the loudest cheers are likely to be heard when the announcers welcome a local legend to the start gate, riding high after winning the Whip-Off in Rotorua. No matter what language you speak, you\u2019ll quickly learn to listen for&nbsp;<em>\u201cPETER KAISER\u201d (AUT)<\/em>&nbsp;from the announcers, a name sure to be a rallying cry for Austrian fans. Kaiser will be competing in the Mons Royale Speed &amp; Style Innsbruck and the Official European Whip-Off Championships presented by SPANK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rheeder and Rogatkin Re-match<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two years of Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle have brought back-to-back years of progression, drama, agony and ecstasy. Seemingly unbeatable runs have been bested, and commanding scores have been conquered. Two years running,&nbsp;<em>Nicholi Rogatkin (USA)<\/em>&nbsp;has stepped up to the top of the podium, while&nbsp;<em>Brett Rheeder (CAN)<\/em>has taken second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1050\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/06\/crankworx-innsbruck-2018-slopestyle-brett-rheeder-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4543\"\/><figcaption>Brett Rheeder, Crankworx Innsbruck 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heading into the second stop of the 2019&nbsp;Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship&nbsp;(SWC), Rheeder carries the momentum. The Canadian is coming off a win at the season\u2019s first contest in Rotorua. Last year this was also the case, with Rogatkin finishing fifth in New Zealand. His off-kilter start didn\u2019t slow his determination, as he went on to win the final three contests of the season, a feat never before completed in the history of Slopestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year Rogatkin is coming off a ninth place finish in Rotorua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1050\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/08\/crankworx-whistler-2018-redbulljoyride-nicholi-rogatkin.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4802\"\/><figcaption>Nicholi Rogatkin, Crankworx Whistler 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Will the battle once again be between Rheeder and Rogatkin? And who will step up to the third place on the podium? After a string of fourth place finishes in 2018, Lemoine bagged a second place finish in Rotorua, while&nbsp;<em>Alex Alanko (SWE)<\/em>&nbsp;took his first Crankworx medal, competing in just his second Crankworx Slopestyle competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Downhill Track Brings Top Talent to Crankworx Innsbruck<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come June, downhill season will be going gangbusters. The month\u2019s third week will see some of the world\u2019s best teams and riders flock to Innsbruck to take on the iXS Innsbruck Downhill presented by Raiffeisen Club. This year a new track will see the action descend into the heart of Crankworx Innsbruck\u2019s festival site in Mutters. <em>Danny Hart (GBR)<\/em>&nbsp;has owned this race two years running, and has shown he\u2019s in fine form in 2019, having clocked the second fastest time of the season in Maribor in April. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/03\/crankworx-rotorua-2019-downhill-traceyhannah.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5152\"\/><figcaption>Tracey Hannah, Crankworx Rotorua 2019<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Tracey Hannah (AUS)<\/em>, like Hart, is undefeated on the Crankworx Innsbruck downhill track. The reining Crankworx Downhill Champion kicked off international racing season with a win in the Crankworx Rotorua Downhill presented by the Professionals, then rolled onto Maribor where she charged her way onto the third step on the podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Charlie Harrison (USA)<\/em>&nbsp;earned his first elite podium outside the USA at Crankworx Innsbruck last year, coming in third behind Hart and 2018 King of Crankworx Sam Blenkinsop. He started his season off with his highest World Cup finish to date, taking fourth in Maribor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/03\/crankworx-rotorua-2019-pumptrack-vaeaverbeeck-tahneeseagrave.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5159\"\/><figcaption>Vaea Verbeeck vs Tahnee Seagrave, Crankworx Rotorua 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Tahn\u00e9e Seagrave (GBR)<\/em>&nbsp;has become a fixture on the Crankworx circuit in recent years, expanding her downhill focus and consistently taking on, and pulling in results, in Dual Slalom and on the pump track.
