Each bike is \u2018rad as fuck\u2019, has a badass set up and an earthy vibe. The colorway doesn\u2019t stand out quite as much but will increase the sense that the riders blend into and harmonize with the gnarly landscape. Rampage is not about working against the mountain but finding a way to work with the given terrain and create in order to succeed. After spending days and nights working on ideas and digging creative lines in the desert the guys are looking to send it down the hill and being creative on their custom rigs. I come from here, so I feel comfortable with the dirt and riding exposed lines. It\u2019s the one big contest of the year when we can really show what freeride is about. Creativity of build and riding go hand-in-hand. Without a cool line, you can\u2019t really do cool crazy stuff. There is no limit to creativity at Rampage, there are so many features that you can build towards your riding style and style of tricks you do. It is hard to say if the crowd is more stoked on creative lines or creative tricks. People who don\u2019t know that much about mountain biking might get more stoked about seeing a big double flip. I think the athletes are more stoked on creativity of the lines rather than tricks. I think the winning recipe is a big, fast line to the bottom with as many hits and tricks and possible paired with plenty of style and fluidity. I have been working hard to get more dialed on my DH bike this season and it is awesome to see the hard work pay off. Now, I am ready to rock! It would be awesome to reach the Top 10, but I mainly want to get the crowd stoked and feel proud of what I can throw down. I want to prove, that it was right to get that call.<\/p><p>My contest experience should help me, but I am still a rookie in the desert and will need to adapt to the terrain quickly. In order to create the perfect line, I worked with Ivan Carmova, a DH rider and shaper in La Poma Bikepark, and Henry Wilkins, who has tons of experience and has also worked with Cam Zink in the past. I am looking forward to the challenge and hope to send a crazy front flip at some point!<\/p><p>My line is feeling sick now, I hit 80% of it and feels fast and steep at the top, the bottom is full of jumps and it\u2019s so flows, I\u2019m getting the setup dialed to be able to read the terrain on the tech parts. I did a step down flip with my new bike and it feels good, is super light and I like the colors!
