I\u2019ve always been, like, fourth on this race, because I always feel like I\u2019m dead because I\u2019ve done too many other events. Today I felt fresh after two days off. I guess the Slalom guys were a bit more rooted than me, so I had a bit more legs than them. Everyone was still so close.<\/p><cite>&#8211; Sam Blenkinsop<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/03\/crankworxrotorua-2020-airdh-samblenkinsop.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6359\"\/><figcaption>Sam Blenkinsop<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kiwi finished in a time of 2:17.99, just over a second faster than both the second and third place finishers. Tomas Slavik (CZE) came in at 2:18.74 and Matt Walker (NZL) clocked 2:18.97.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We had a really stacked field, actually the most girls I\u2019ve ever seen I think. A lot of top talent, so it was pretty cool to make a return and take a win. <\/p><cite>&#8211; Jill Kintner<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/03\/crankworxrotorua-2020-airdh-jillkintner.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6357\"\/><figcaption>Jill Kintner \/ photo: Kike Abelleira<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jill Kintner won the race with 2:26.86 winning run, five seconds faster than Anneke Beerten (NED), who came in at 2:31.12 and nearly 10 seconds faster than 2019\u2019s Queen Vaea Verbeeck who finished in 2:34.00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The American was primarily focused on Enduro in 2019, returning only to race at Crankworx Whistler, where she won the Air DH, Dual Slalom and Pump Track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/03\/crankworxrotorua-2020-airdh-annekebeerten.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6356\"\/><figcaption>Anneke Beerten \/ photo: Kike Abelleira<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I\u2019m stoked to get the win. We were up there a long time with the delay and stuff. It gave it enough time to maybe dry out a bit, so we got a pretty perfect track. It\u2019s quite a different feel this year. It\u2019s like a loose powder that never quite gets wet enough to pack down, so it\u2019s just loose, and holes everywhere.<\/p><cite>&#8211; Jill Kintner<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rotorua experience drought conditions through February, leaving things parched and dusty when the festival kicked off on March 1. I felt like the track was really slow. And then for the race I felt like it was a whole new track. It was just so fast and I had so much more energy. It was good for the race run and good to take the win and everyone was here still with the crappy weather but it was still amazing, so that\u2019s cool. I did a nice wheelie for the crowd.
