After getting acclimatized to the South Island scene, it was time to prepare for the first FMB slopestyle event of the year \u2013 Crankworx Rotorua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/03\/ferikfedko-2024-alongfortheride-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9676\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Along for the Ride<\/strong>\u00a0takes you through the highs and lows of Fedko&#8217;s slopesyle season. Far from perfect and plagued with injuries early on, this insight takes a deep dive on the effort needed to reach the top step \u2013 shown by Fedko&#8217;s maiden 1st place at an FMB Gold event. I felt really good in Queenstown, but it wasn&#8217;t my week In Rotorua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/03\/ferikfedko-2024-alongfortheride-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9675\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You&#8217;ve ridden a few custom bikes in the last year \u2013 which colour scheme has been your favourite so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">My favourite of 2023 was the Whistler custom bike. The nature themed paint looks sick, and I won my First ever FMB World Tour event on that bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/43ride.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/03\/ferikfedko-2024-alongfortheride-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9678\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Outside of competitions, what was your biggest highlight of the past year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Biggest highlight was in Queenstown before the season started.
