After two years of hard work and gallons of coffee drank, we proudly announce the establishment of RONDO – a bike brand devoted to new-school drop bar riding.We live, breath and sleep two wheels. We race each season and commute to work on bikes every day. We ride tens of thousands of km each year, on and off-road, yet we are not pro racers. We admire the heritage of the great tours, but we can’t figure out which rider is in what team today. We simply don’t have the time for that, because we spend too much time riding bikes and… making them!
Among the founders of RONDO are the guys who created NS Bikes, one of the coolest mountain bike companies around, and also Creme Cycles, beautiful classic urban bikes sold worldwide. So, with more than 15 years of experience in making bikes we knew that it was time to materialize our burning passion and enter the drop bar world. Believing that less is more, in function over tradition, and that rules are there to break, not to obey, we undertook the huge challenge to launch a range of bikes that would really make a difference to riders from all genres.
With our feet firmly planted in the mountain bike world, we took a road bike, tore off the conventional solutions, added open-minded thinking, focused on the most important and progressive features and created tough, 100% purpose-built all-road bikes with a clear racing character and maximum functionality. Apart from making sure the tech was dialed we also designed them to look unlike anything else on the market. Meet the world’s first Vario Geometry gravel bike – the RUUT. Apart from the TwinTip forks the bikes are loaded with cool features and have massive tire clearances. You can fit 700C tires up to 42mm wide and fat 2.2” 650B tires as well! The bikes come with carbon, steel and aluminum frames and will be on sale in early summer 2017.
