MET partner with Qhubeka for Bluegrass Enduro Tour

The world’s only international ‘blind racing’ series, the Bluegrass Enduro Tour is a celebration of mountain biking with outstanding locations, epic riding and an unrivalled atmosphere throughout.

In keeping with the spirit of celebration, this year sponsor MET have partnered with charity Qhubeka to help further the joy and empowerment a bicycle brings. Entry fees to the Bluegrass Enduro Tour will include a 1€ donation to Qhubeka, with every donation matched by MET.

Based in South Africa, the Qhubeka charity provides people with bicycles that change their lives – bicycles that help children in remote places get to school regularly or assist healthcare workers in visiting patients. With most of Africa’s rural population having no access to transport, bicycles are the most effective way of enabling access to opportunity, education, healthcare, shops and community services. Founded in 2004, Qhubeka has distributed more than 51,000 bikes, and with the help of MET, the Bluegrass Enduro Tour will help the charity deliver even more.

The endeavour is a natural extension of MET’s partnership with MTN-Qhubeka, the South African Pro-Continental team “racing to mobilise change in Africa, one bicycle at a time.”
