Munich, July 21st 2015 – With a wallet full of cards, for bikers there is one that is a “must have” – the GraVity Card. This little gem will let you pack up your bike and head out on a journey with friends to discover Europe and its best bike parks. Bikepark Winterberg
With five countries on the route, your trip through Europe could start at Winterberg Bikepark in Germany. When you arrive, eager to shred, there will be no need to stand in line to buy a ticket. No Sir! Just flash your GraVity Card and you can ride any and all of their ten tracks all day long. Only 550km / 340mi separate Winterberg from your next stop, MTB ZONE Bikepark Geisskopf. Germany’s first bike park offers 12 versatile and well-groomed trails and courses for all skill levels, including the one and only Flow Country Trail in Germany.
Bikepark Jasna
Leaving Germany, just 40km / 25mi across the border in Czech Republic is Bikepark Spicak in the beautiful Bohemian Forest. Less time on the road, means more time behind bars. By now, your hands will start to burn but the journey continues. Another 290km / 81mi away is the fourth member of the GraVity Card, Bike World Jasna in Slovakia. The leading Slovakian bike park has six awesome trails guaranteed to put a smile on your face. In 2016, three more will be added in the park located in the Low Tatras.
Bikepark Planai
Further south, the road now leads to Austria where another seven bike parks are open to GraVity Card holders. The first one is in Semmering, about 175 km / 108 mi away from Jasna. By the time bikers have finished ripping their fifth bike park – the cost of the GraVity card has been equaled. From now on, every trail you hit is free. 200km / 124mi away is the second Austrian resort, Bikepark Planai. The venue in Schladming will excite the downhillers who are impatiently waiting to let loose after driving through the mountains.
Bikepark Wagrain
The journey across the Alps continues to Bikepark Wagrain, only 40 km / 25 mi away. Their newest line called “Hard Rock” is a demanding 4km / 2,8mi long track with 600 meters / 1,968 ft in vertical drop. The long awaited track almost doubles the park’s size. But don’t push yourself too hard yet –more adventure awaits at the seventh stop, Bikepark Leogang, 60km / 37mi away. This Austrian resort in Saalfelden Leogang is home to the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup track, the “Speedster”. Hopefully your chain won’t slip off like Aaron Gwin’s did during his legendary winning run this summer.
Bikepark Semmering
A short 30-minute drive east or a bike ride over the mountain (for example during the BIG-5-BIKE Challenge) and you arrive at Saalbach Hinterglemm and its famous Enduro and freeride trails. When you are not riding, find a moment to enjoy the beautiful scenery and natural surroundings. Back on the road, now entering the Austrian region of Tirol you will reach Bikepark Tirol and have full access to their trails like the “Crazy Heart” and “Red Devil”.
Bikepark Lenzerheide
From Bikepark Tirol heading west – the Austrian leg of the trip directs you to Serfaus Fiss Ladis. Eight well-developed and prepared tracks for riders of all levels are open to GraVity Card holders. With one bike park left on the list – it’s time to leave Austria and enter Switzerland, to Lenzerheide. In the bike park, Greg Minnaar and Rachel Atherton won the most recent UCI Mountain Bike World Cup race on a brand new downhill track. Riders can make the most of five tracks before enjoying a well-deserved beer and celebrating an epic summer adventure.
Just like that, twelve bike parks, five countries, and endless tracks and trails can be yours with just one card! You can buy your GraVity Card on the internet or onsite at all participating parks. Adults pay 396 Euro, youth 315 Euro and children 198 Euro.
