Friedrichshafen – On September 3 and 4, 2016, the world’s biggest Bike “Testival” is celebrating its debut in Friedrichshafen. Two full days of “Testing, Adventures, Partying” will highlight all aspects of biking. With 3,000 test bikes and the latest products from more than 1,000 international exhibitors, alongside an action-packed supporting program, the new Eurobike Festival Days represent a biking event of superlatives.

Eurobike Festival Days in Friedrichshafen

Participation events, workshops and different biking competitions are all on the program at Eurobike Festival Days, along with action-packed entertainment and live music by international acts on the festival stage. An impressive selection of test bikes are available in the Demo Area: ranging from carbon-fiber racing bikes to leisurely city bikes, and from cargo bikes to the latest e-bikes and state-of-the-art mountain bikes, there are about 3,000 bikes for you to borrow, try and compare. Over ten kilometers of test tracks for mountain bikes, racing bikes and e-bikes have been installed and signposted around the festival grounds for you to try out, including a fantastic pump track. In the Kids’ Area, the little ones can do a few rounds on their own special tracks, and test themselves with their very first race.

For the first time, biking buffs can get a hands-on look in Friedrichshafen at the latest products and innovations for the upcoming biking season, and can talk shop with manufacturers’ experts about all the developments and details, in a relaxed festival atmosphere. “Biking has tons of different facets, and plays an increasing role in many aspects of life. Our goal is to show all the different possibilities, developments and trends, and to make them available for trying out. And also to do so in a fun atmosphere with real festival character,” says Stefan Reisinger, Head of Eurobike, in explaining the festival’s inspiration.

Action, events and information in ten areas

At Eurobike Festival Days, the ten areas each offer something for everyone, whether a bike pro, total beginner or just a curious festivalgoer. The subjects range from the most scenic biking tours to nuts-and-bolts workshops (in the Bike Kitchen Area). On the other hand, with slowbiking you can test your own two-wheeled skills. The Kids’ Area is devoted to the smallest bike fans, who can take a bike safety course or let off some steam riding their favorite bike during the balance-bike race. Female bikers can visit the Women’s Area to upgrade their technical expertise with specially dedicated workshops, or grab front-row seats at the fashion show in the Show Area. The Travel Area and Academy Area are both particularly informative, with a program including spectacular bike-trip presentations to stimulate your wanderlust, illuminating talks by renowned speakers from the biking scene, and helpful tips and tricks on training effectively for competitions. As a special highlight, the Eurobike Awards will be presented to the biking sector’s most innovative products. This year’s award winners can be viewed in the Innovation Area.

Bike entertainment by the pros

Visitors should also grab front-row seats in the Performance Area for our spectacular biking shows, with international pros offering first-rate entertainment in the Dirtjump- und Pumptrack-Parcours, as they stun the spectators with crazy tricks and soaring jumps. Anyone needing a break can go enjoy the international top acts playing in the Music Area, and soak in the relaxed festival atmosphere. Then on Saturday night, there’s the big Eurobike Party, with the Radio 7 Mixshow team firing up the crowd with the hottest tracks.

Eurobike Festival Days will take place on September 3 and 4 on the Messe exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Admission is €12 for one day, or €17 for both days. For more information program details, visit the new homepage at eurobike-festivaldays.com and facebook.com/eurobike.tradeshow.
