THE TWENTY TWENTY VIDEO

A line launch is a great reason for a family trip and for 2020 Leatt wanted to do something special, so a few phone calls later the heroes of the TWENTY TWENTY video were ready. Aaron Chase, Clemens Kaudela, Martha Gill and Telma Toregrossa were on a plane heading to France, destination: Black Hills.

Aaron Chase was one of the last guys on my bucket list to work with. I knew the Black Hills were going to be a huge playground for him to work his magic. The hardest part was following him everywhere, he moved so fast from spot to spot, super keen to get more on camera. Clemens Kaudela was also full of positive energy to whole time. It’s not easy trekking up a mountain all day, hitting huge jumps and riding massive lines and also stay so happy and focused. Clemens is real professional with amazing style!

I’ve been working with Leatt for a few years now and it really is like a big family – when you’re in it’s rad times! So when I was asked to be a part of the their TWENTY / TWENTY launch I had a feeling it was going to be cool. The location was amazing with so many line choices – you just needed to get creative and find those special features. The black soil really made the whole thing pop on camera too. Everything from big freeride lines to fun jib features were there. The first day, we didn’t have much time, it was sunset and I trekked up to one of the peaks and rode this super loose line down. It was a great start to the trip and really got me pumped.

Filming with Leatt was so cool. The mixture of freeride, bike park, enduro trails and just little fun stuff was perfect. The highlight for me was riding the exposed ridge with Aaron and Clemens at sunset. It wasn’t just on the bike when we had fun too; I won’t forget playing crazy boules with Telma, splashing about in the pool, and all the laughs we had staying in one house like one big family. I love all the new gear Leatt is bringing out for 2020, so was honoured to be part of such a fun trip and be involved with the launch!

DBX MTB JERSEYS

The most popular jersey, the Leatt 4.0 Ultraweld has received some updates, featuring MoistureCool wicking stretch mesh fabric with air channels, as well as welded cuffs and hem seams to ensure premium comfort and breathability. It also has a racing stretch-fit, which means you can wear it with or without body armour. Leatt’s most high-performance jersey is the tough-wearing 5.0 All-Mountain, which has a Windblock chest, breathable mesh back and tailored fit designed for riding out the harshest of elements, while the 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 Jerseys all have short sleeve options for warmer conditions –  technical MTB jerseys with all the cool cotton-feel comfort of a casual Tee.

DBX MTB PANTS & SHORTS

Comfort and durability best describes the Leatt 4.0 pants.  Specifically designed for downhill, trail and BMX the ultra-light vented four-way stretch material has a dirt, water and stain resistant fabric coating offering top-level comfort and durability. The pre-curved kneepad fit is optimised for pedalling comfort, while adjustable waist straps and a silicone grip keep the pants securely around the waist, so they won’t slip down.

Leatt’s Twenty/Twenty DBX shorts range has everything from all-weather 5.0 shorts to performance 1.0 trail shorts. With Leatt’s incredible 30.000/23.000 HydraDri material, the waterproof, dirt and stain resistant 5.0 All-Mountain shorts are ideal for wet and loose conditions. Four-way stretch is available across the entire range and will keep you comfortable and let you move freely on the bike. The 4.0 gravity shorts are tough and loose, perfect for pinning it down the trail and fast downhill riding.  The lightweight 3.0 enduro shorts are stretchy, comfortable and ideal for everyday riding.  The ultra-lightweight 1.0 shorts with chamois have a shorter fit for the more trail/XC orientated rider and are the ideal sunny weather riding shorts.

DBX MTB & URBAN HELMETS

The Leatt helmet range also comes in the all-new forest green colourway for Twenty/Twenty. In 2019 Leatt released their DBX 4.0 all-purpose helmet which quickly became the crowd favourite thanks to its affordable price, comfort, light weight, extreme ventilation with 22 vents and a removable mouthpiece as well as top level safety standard. The Leatt team have listened to that response and have now released an all-new 1.0 MTN half shell, which sells for 69,- USD / 69,-Euro an includes 360 Turbine Technology, deep rear coverage for added protection and an adjustable visor. It looks good, feels great and will keep you safe. Leatt have also entered the urban market with a great, well ventilated commuter helmet featuring 360 Turbine Technology and retailing for just 49,- USD / 49,- Euro. Never has top quality safety been so affordable!

Leatt never compromises, which is why all models, feature the same 360º Turbine Technology. This system uses small turbine-shaped discs made from an energy-absorbing material that can move in all directions, helping to reduce the risk of concussion by up to 30%, and rotational acceleration to the head and brain by up to 40%. All helmets are CE certified and tested: AS/NZS 2063:2008, EN1078, CPSC 1203.

DBX MTB GLOVES

With a market leading NanoGrip palm, which offers superior handlebar feel and protection, Leatt Twenty/Twenty gloves are tough and durable. The 4.0 Lite feature full knuckle and finger Airflex protection, only now impact protection is softer and lighter, whilst still being CE tested and certified.

The 2.0 X-Flow has a new vented, four-way stretch upper hand for a better fit and breathability with a MicronGrip palm, the same as the 1.0 GripR. Leatt’s first weather-resistant softshell glove, the 2.0 Windblock is a must-have for colder, harsher weather conditions. All gloves are available in a wide selection of colours, so you’re guaranteed to find just the pair for you.
