Mountain bike enthusiasts return to gather on the trails of Carosello 3000 for a new edition of the Great Days scheduled from 16 to 18 July 2021. The program includes lots of riding, great opportunities for socializing and the famous Tutti Frutti Challenge, the exhilarating hunt for team treasure to do naturally on a mountain bike.
After months of uncertainty, the Mountain Park Carosello 3000 in Livigno proposes to return the passion for mountain biking freely and with friends. From 16 to 18 July the Great Days are back, an event that celebrates being together in nature on the saddle of your mountain bike.
The event, now in its third edition, is based on a well-tested format. It starts in the late afternoon of Friday 16 July with the Sunset Ride, a group outing with the last light of the day on a 12 km track that meets the trails Coast to Coast, Roller Coaster and the brand-new Lonely Planet trail, a natural style trail with a view of the wild Val Federia. At the end of the route, the raiders meet in the Calcheira forest to celebrate the beginning of the weekend with a barbecue and live music.
Saturday is entirely dedicated to the Tutti Frutti Challenge, a fun treasure hunt for anyone familiar with mountain trails. The initiative is in teams of 2 or 3 people and combines strategy, orientation and exploration within a mainly flow path. Here the participants have to get involved by finding check-points, taking photos, solving puzzles and passing special tests and… at the same time accumulating points by publishing Instagram Stories. At the end of the initiative, pending the awards ceremony, music and socializing will be held at the Apres-Bike Alegra, while in the evening music at Marco’s Pub with the live band “Alle B. Goode Rock’N’Roll Trio”.
Scheduled for Sunday, the Threesome Ride is the novelty of the Great Days 2021. A team competition of 3 people, where each component must follow a different path by type (enduro, flow and cross-country) and then find themselves in a mysterious and finish the test together with the whole team.
But Sunday also includes quieter initiatives. The Yoga Experience allows you to see the Mountain at the first light of day thanks to an Ashtanga yoga session followed by a wellness breakfast at the Carosello 3000 refuge. The Panoramic Tour is an excursion suitable for everyone on a path that crosses woods, ancient houses. farmhouses and beautiful mid-mountain viewpoints.
After the morning riding their bikes, the participants in the various initiatives gather at the Baitel del Plascianet, a small refuge immersed in the forest for: the Party in the Wood. Here you can share your experiences and greet old and new friends while enjoying a polenta cooked in a cauldron accompanied by an unmissable alpine grill and a few good glasses of wine.
The event is organized by Carosello 3000 in partnership the Livigno Mtb Guides, the 360 Valtellina Bike group and MET Helmets, a leading company in the design and production of helmets and protective devices dedicated to cycle tourism.
