The Thule Slopestyle Innsbruck delivered gravity-defying performances as the world’s top male and female athletes displayed their skills, courage and prowess on the big course in Mutters. The legendary Smithfield Downhill track that challenges athletes with its narrow turns through the tropical rainforest proved particularly demanding for the RockShox Downhill Cairns, following 24 hours of on-and-off rain showers. Despite the conditions, Tracey Hannah and Connor Fearon, both returning to Crankworx Cairns after a brief hiatus, navigated the technical Rock Garden and slippery roots to secure the top spots on the podium. The tropical rainforest of Cairns came alive today as the Specialized Dual Slalom inaugurated the highly anticipated party edition of the Crankworx World Tour. Ryan Gilchrist and Jordy Scott seized Gold at this first event, held on the iconic red soil of Smithfield MTB Park.
