For all three riders on the podium in today’s Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle, it was the realization of a dream. On the third step, Dawid Godziek (POL), a wildcard entry invited to the contest just six weeks ago. On the second, Emil Johansson (SWE), who this time last year was in and out of hospital, unable to ride, with no assurance he would be able to compete at same level again. On the top, Brett Rheeder (CAN), who wrote a new story for himself today. I’ve been in this position so many times. I come down on my first run, I’m…

“The one and only underground enduro trail in the world” – this is the slogan that advertises Black Hole Trail. Just by letting You ride a bike underground, suggests that it will be interesting. But after riding on this trail, I can say that this is not only just a cheap marketing slogan. Former mine Pece, thanks to the efforts of builders and shapers, has a genuinely amazing attraction for bikers. The Black Hole Trail is located in the Slovenian town of Mezica, in the Koroska region, in the closed mine Pece (Petzen). Until the early 1990s, lead and zinc…

While snowboarding through steep tree runs or big wide open alpine features you have the freedom to go where you want and ride the terrain how you see it. My favourite part of mountain biking has always been big mountain riding and free riding in general. This more than likely comes from growing up on a board where snow eliminates the need for…

That place that everybody was talking about was Bike Park Krvavec. It is located in the very center of the country, about 30 km from capital city Ljubljana. It is quite an unusual bike park, but definitely worth visiting, and now I know why everybody was talking about it in such good words. Bike Park Krvavec Why is it an unusual Bike Park? When You are looking at…
