Had he just sat back and glided through his final run, Daryl Brown (GBR) might have won the Crankworx Les Gets Dual Speed & Style Thursday evening, defending his title from last year on two hours sleep. But after throwing down valiant effort after valiant effort in each heat, not to mention stacking up a sizable lead over his competitor, Jakub Vencl (CZE), in the first round of the two-run final, he just couldn’t let it slide. He fought for it—and victory fell from his grasp as he slid out over the final berm, one jump from the finish. Jakub…

The new Nomad has arrived. A redesign from the ground up, the Nomad 4 is a marked departure from the rest of our trail bikes. The most obvious change is the lower link-mounted shock similar to the one on our V10 downhill bike, but there’s also a high/low flip-chip on the link, a pedal-friendly 74.5 seat tube angle, and all the right details like a bolt-on shuttle guard and an integrated fender to keep crud out of the suspension. We finished it all off with some killer builds and backed it up with our lifetime warranty. We’re dropping our brand-new…

This week saw me back to one of my favorite race venues. Everything about the Irish crowd is another level compared to any other race we go to. It is something special, where the racing is so intense due to the size of the hill. I’d spent the week between races in Nice in southern France doing some training, in the area where Fabien Barel lives. It was good to get back to some hot weather and recover after Madeira. Moving onto Ireland I was there in good time and able to walk all the stages and get a feel…
