The countdown to the 2017 Enduro World Series has begun in earnest with the announcement of the public lottery, Wild Card selection and EWS Challenger Events opening for entry next week. This year’s Wild Card application process proved especially difficult, with applicants up from 150 in 2016 to nearly 500 this year. All applicants were carefully considered by the Enduro Mountain Bike Association (EMBA) and have been whittled down to just 20 riders who will gain entry to all eight races. Riders who want to race in any of this season’s eight races should make sure they have next Wednesday (January 25th) marked in their diary when the public lottery entries open for all of this year’s eight rounds. The lottery style entry system allows applicants 48 hours starting at 00:01 GMT on January 25 to register for a ticket.
