“Demo Day, a combination of innovation show and bike event, is the perfect kickoff for the Eurobike and offers the unique opportunity to experience the new season’s trends in action,” concluded Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. The ninth Demo Day 2015 featured a top lineup: In Friedrichshafen, the who is who of the global bicycle industry presented the newest racing bikes, e-bikes and recumbent, folding and mountain bikes. Product tests were conducted on five bike trails stretching a total of 20 kilometers, a mountain bike course built especially for the event, and, for the first time, a new wooden pump track.

“Our prologue for the 24th Eurobike was a success. Feedback on Demo Day has been excellent and we are pleased that, with (a new record of) 2731 trade visitors (2014: 2642) attending, so many bike fans have taken the opportunity to try out the bike premieres of the coming year”, said Eurobike project leader Dirk Heidrich, reviewing the kickoff event. A large number of media representatives also made sure to use the opportunity to test the newest developments for the 2016 season: 788 (2014: 784) journalists from 34 countries reported on the bike innovations to audiences all around the world.

The Eurobike is open to industry visitors from Wednesday, August 26th until Friday, August 28st from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
