Mountain biking, live concerts, racing action, spectacular Big Air shows, meet & greets, group rides and workshops with some of the scene’s biggest stars as well as a huge Expo Area and countless parties – the legendary GlemmRide Bike Festival is well and truly back. From July 7-10, 2022, the idyllic Austrian Glemmtal valley with its vast network of trails is set to once again become the epicenter of the mountain bike scene and all those who can never ride and enjoy themselves enough.
It all starts with several warmup parties on Wednesday, July 6, before the huge GlemmRide Bike Festival Expo Area opens its doors on Thursday, July 7. Lined with booths of some of the best bike brands, festivalgoers can not only drool over the latest tech on display but also take some of the newest bikes and products on test rides on the trails of Austria’s largest Bike Region. Those who still have the energy and motivation after a long day’s riding can then head to the Goaßstall (goat barn) to dance the night away at the Welcome Party featuring Mountain Reggae Radio.
Friday, July 8, contains a stacked schedule that includes a spectacular Big Air Show by Masters of Dirt as well as a live concert featuring Austrian Rap-Collective Texta on the main stage.
Saturday, July 9, continues the theme of mountain biking and festival feeling. Next to the seeding runs of the Specialized RockShox Rookies Cup presented by iXS and the many side events in the large Expo Area, the day’s program includes meet & greets, group rides and workshops with stars like Fabio Wibmer, the spectacular Big Air Show by Masters of Dirt, a live concert by Austrian band Turbobier and a whole gaggle of afterparties in the festival village as well as the Goaßstall.
Sunday, July 10, is the last chance for mountain bikers to gaze at some of the newest bikes, parts and products displayed in the huge Expo Area or to even take them out for a spin on the region’s trails. Festivalgoers shouldn’t get too carried away riding, though, as the Downhill Finals of the Specialized RockShox Rookies Cup presented by iXS should definitely not be missed.
There’s also plenty on offer for families and their kids throughout the week. Be it AUVA Cycling Workshops, fun pumptrack races or the many child-friendly activities throughout the large Expo Area – boredom is a foreign concept at the GlemmRide Bike Festival.
