A boundary-expanding new playground: The Swatch Nines BMX Plaza

A custom BMX plaza is the standout addition to Swatch Nines Bike. Covering 800 square meters at the bottom of the setup, the park includes a variety of quarterpipes, rails, ledges and transfer options. There’s even a U-shaped wallride and a creative trampoline feature to challenge the riders’ imagination and trick repertoire. It’s a fitting stage for the official debut of BMX at Swatch Nines, and a welcome addition to this already sprawling riders’ paradise.

The mountain bike setup: familiar lines, improved flow

Now in their third year of hosting Swatch Nines, Sölden’s massive intertwining Freeride and Slopestyle lines have undergone mostly minor revisions for the 2026 edition. The berms of the Freeride line have been reshaped to improve the flow, and the transitions of the Slopestyle line have been adjusted to accommodate the smaller tires and tighter style of the BMX crew.

The Slopestyle line features one major new addition: the Satellite Dish. Last seen in action in 2019, the 8-meter-wide dish has been pulled out of storage and reimagined as a hybrid wallride-quarterpipe feature offering endless line choices.
