The action at this year’s Swatch Nines MTB will have you seeing double. Two distinct stops, playing out back-to-back in two different countries, will blend into one cohesive whole in the most diverse, and longest, Swatch Nines MTB event yet.

Here’s all you need to know about one of the most anticipated MTB events of the year.

KEY FACTS

  • WHAT: Swatch Nines MTB
  • WHEN: September 4–13, 2025
  • WHERE: Green Hill Bikepark (GER) & Bike Republic Sölden (AUT)
  • WHO: Invited roster of the world’s best female and male mountain bikers

TWO LOCATIONS, ONE EVENT

This year’s event spans two of Europe’s MTB hotspots. The fun begins on September 4–6 with a three-day Big Air jam at Green Hill Bikepark in Germany. From there, the Nines crew will travel south to Bike Republic Sölden in Austria, where the roster triples and the action continues from September 9–13.

Both stops coincide with local festivals, with Swatch Nines serving as a program highlight. At Green Hill, the BYND The Hill Festival runs from 5–6 September, with a public session on Saturday, 6 September. The BRS Festival in Sölden follows from September 12–14, and features a public night shoot on Friday, September 12 and a daytime public session on Saturday, September 13. All Swatch Nines public sessions are free to attend with a festival ticket.

We’re beyond stoked to take Swatch Nines MTB to the next level this year with two epic locations and back-to-back weekends of action. Green Hill Bikepark and Bike Republic Sölden each bring their own unique flavor, and together they’ll form the biggest, most diverse bike setup we’ve ever had. With an amazing crew of talented riders from around the globe, the energy is already building up. Huge thanks to our partners and everyone behind the scenes—we can’t wait to kick things off!

BECOME A NINE

The Become A Nine contest offers up-and-coming riders the chance of a lifetime with a wildcard invite to the Swatch Nines. Three riders (Marlon Katzke, David Zimmermann and Justus Imhorst) have already claimed wildcards at the BYND pre-event in Green Hill on July 12. Now the search continues, with the online Become a Nine contest kicking off on July 24. More info coming soon at thenines.cc.

BECOME A NINE: PHOTOGRAPHY

An open spot in our media team presents a special opportunity for all the passionate MTB photographers out there. We are on the hunt for fresh visual talent who can bring a unique perspective to the event in Sölden. The contest is open to all photographers worldwide—no age limits, no experience requirements. Whether you are an emerging creative or a seasoned visual storyteller, we want to see your style and eye for the action. More info coming soon at thenines.cc.

I’m so excited to go and ride at Swatch Nines again. Meeting all my friends and having a full week of experimenting, progressing the sport and trying to push our riding to the next level is going to be so fun. And that’s exactly what the Nines is all about! The course in Sölden has been reworked, it’s gotten an update and some additions from last year, so that’s going to be a blast—especially because this year we have a skate setup there and skateboarders and BMX riders are joining too. So, it should be a lot of fun! I can’t wait.
