Spectators on-site as well as online who closely followed the first Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup in Lourdes a couple of days ago might have spotted a new brand on Greg Minnaar’s helmet. This season, the GOAT will be sporting a helmet designed in collaboration with Mous and Fox. Greg deliberately chose his new helmet branding partner because he really believes in the product and wanted to advocate for an exciting, innovative young brand. To celebrate the new partnership, the reigning World Champ took the new helmet out to Greg’s home turf South Africa. The resulting edit of Greg racing down Table Mountain to meet the company’s co-founder and CEO, James Griffith at the beach put the IntraLock™ products to the ultimate test along the way.

Greg Minnaar, multiple World Championship winning downhill mountain biker, is known as the Greatest of All Time. His success is unparalleled and he’s constantly trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible, both on his bike and in product development. He has been a big fan of their products for a long time and has now decided to partner with Mous.

London-based tech accessory brand Mous are known for their relentless product innovation, pushing to build the best accessories possible. The brand’s in-house design team worked with helmet manufacturer Fox to develop various artwork designs for Greg to wear throughout the year. 

Mous are a leading brand in protective tech accessories. It’s very fitting that they should collaborate with Fox on the design of my helmet for this race season as that is all about protection!

Greg and his new helmet partner decided to shoot a campaign video in South Africa, where Greg grew up, which, surprisingly, gave him the opportunity to ride the iconic Table Mountain for the very first time. He was particularly excited to ride some of the lower trails like Plum Pudding. The mountain’s terrain is wildly diverse, incredibly beautiful and there’s no one straight route down. This made for some stunning shots, a great showcase for Greg’s epic riding capabilities and a seriously rigorous product test. Amongst the jumps, bumps, stairs, rocks and steep trails – and a quick stop for a bottle of water – they were able to demonstrate the secure hold of the new IntraLock™ bike mount and Evolution phone case.

The IntraLock™ ecosystem has Greg really excited – it’s an ultra-protective phone case which mechanically connects to a bike mount. He wanted to test out their extreme performance and durability, put the products through their paces and see if he could break a phone on their very first production together.

I’m pretty excited to get the season going again. I’ve got a full new team, fresh new gear and new helmet. I’m keen to get racing again.
