Ambitious water boardsports brand ION launched their first bike apparel collection in 2013. Now, the 2014 collection arrived at local bike shops in overall 32 countries worldwide. Time to get a short wrap up of the 100% German engineered collection:
Scrub & Flare
The brand new Flare (women) and Scrub (men) series are ION‘s flagships in advanced technical construction and material choice – all in an unique surf inspired design. The long sleeve tops combine drirelease front panels with airy mesh jerseys on back and arms. The shorts are made of a special 4way-flex fabric, DWR treated, with laser cut details, bonded hems and a fabric-feature mix that make them a functional, robust and light piece of kit.
Roam & Luzid
The Luzid (women) and Roam (men) lines grew up to 20 different styles for 2014. Main idea: to combine a caual look with high functionality. All tops are made of drirelease fabrics with Freshguard, which have a classic cotton look, but dry four times faster than cotton. Cargo style shorts and jeans (shorts & pants) are flexy and feature a cycling specific cut for maximum freedom of movement.
Slash
The 2014 Slash is a pure gravity riding combo: Super airy but still robust mesh jerseys include a hidden ticket pocket plus a lens cleaning patch. The matching „Sabotage“ pants and shorts made of a robust mix of 4way-flex and nylon fabric also feature hidden neoprene enforcement‘s an the outer hip for additional abrasion resistance.
Traze & Graze
The ones that prefer a more sportive look, might choose the Graze (women) or Traze (men) lines: Surfstyle oriented designs in a slimmer fit with performance functionalities thanks to different fabric mix constructions including Coolmax & Sanitized.
