Korbach, July 2nd 2014 – German tyre manufacturer Continental developed a new Performance-Line in their Competence- and Technology-Centre in Korbach, Germany. Besides the premium-line “Handmade in Germany”, from now on Continental will produce Performance-Line products in the new Chinese plant in Hefei. All the applied technologies were developed in the German headquarter and were extensively tested and subsequently transferred to the new factory.
Continental X King
For the new Performance Line Continental uses the “PureGrip” mixing technology, derived from the well-established BlackChili Compound, while focusing more on grip- and longevity-aspects.The newly developed “NyTechBreaker” technology, especially designed for the Performance-Line, guarantees an excellent break-down protection. Another mentionable characteristic of the new MTB-product-line is the Tubeless Ready-suitability.
Continental Mountain King
With the Performance-products Continental adds a new quality-line to their portfolio and offers a new benchmark for all Asian-produced bicycle-tyres. The result is a very robust and sticky tyre, quality-wise to range between the Premium-products from the Korbach factory and the basic versions.
Continental Race King
Continental’s new Performance-Line is targeting the Asia-producing competitors and the multitude of OE-clients located there. Wholesale and specialized trade can look forward to a well-balanced mix out of reliable products with high demand potential. Currently the Performance-version is available for tyre-models Mountain King, X-King and Race King.
