KOBLENZ, 29th May 2014 — The Stitched is back! Dirt and slopestyle fans can now order the FMB World Tour proven bike at canyon.com. To celebrate the release of the new CANYON Stitched, the CANYON Factory Freeride boys went to Peter Henke’s (GER) compound to show just what the new bike can do. Check out the new trailer of the team at youtube.com. Everyone should get a taste of what the Stitched is capable of! At iXS Dirtmasters in Winterberg (GER) from 29th May to 1st June you’ll be able to try out this new ride.

The signs were there – ever since CANYON gathered together three of the top FMB World Tour riders, Thomas Genon, Anton Thelander and Peter Henke and founded the CANYON Factory Freeride Team, it was obvious that something big was on the horizon. Now, after 18 months of developing, testing and tinkering with every minor detail, the results are here for everyone to enjoy. The guys’ input played a significant role in the development of the Stitched: “The experience and knowledge of world class athletes is second to none. Ultimately they can offer better feedback and insights than any computer. Their input collaborated perfectly with the expertise of our designers and we believe the outcome speaks for itself,” says CFFT Supervisor Flo Goral.

The bike was ridden and tested throughout the 2013 FMB World Tour season so the riders could perfect the geometry that works for them best. Although it took a while, it was worth the wait. The new Stitched is an absolute blast, capable of the wildest tricks and strong enough to withstand big hits. “The Stitched is just perfect. It’s almost a part of me. I have never felt so confident on a bike,” claims Thomas who has already demonstrated the bike’s potential with several podium results. If you want to put the new Stitched to the test, then visit the CANYON stand at iXS Dirtmasters in Winterberg (GER) from 29th May to 1st June.

The Stitched packs a powerful punch. With tube shapes designed to withstand the biggest impacts, the bike will keep on giving all day long. The extra stiff BB.Box and tapered headtube result in pinpoint steering accuracy, crucial for those technical lines. Flattened steering angles provide the ideal balance between agility and stability when hitting jumps at high speed. The Stitched will give you the confidence to go bigger every time. The tapered steerer makes the bike stronger and stiffer. For perfect chain setup, the rear wheel can be adjusted using the internal chain tensioner.

The team worked extensively on the shape of the frame to create some unique elements, such as the hydroformed tubing, the unique bottom bracket section and the plectrum stays. The result? The new Stitched excels in durability, its lightweight and the ride could not be smoother. Anton is stoked with the final result: “This is the best looking dirt jump hardtail frame that I have ever seen – and it rides even better. I think it’s so cool.” His teammate Pete agrees: “I’m super happy with the new Stitched. It is light and the geometry feels great. It is agile, but also for large fast jumps it’s very stable in the air!”

The CFFT weapon has now been revealed and is available in two versions: the Stitched 180°, a standard-level model perfect for riders looking to progress, and the Stitched 360° that comes straight from the FMB World Tour.
