Fast. Agile. Sharp. These are the attributes YT Industries associates with their short travel trail bike. The award-winning IZZO Core platform was introduced with regular 130 mm of travel, the limited edition IZZO Blaze was beefed up to 140 mm and now the IZZO has morphed into a 120 mm XC speed machine. The IZZO Uncaged 7 is YT’s lightest full-suspension bike ever with a need for speed and adds another wrinkle to the highly versatile IZZO platform.

YT’s so-called Core models represent the consistent foundation of the entire range at various price points, whereas the Uncaged models stand for versions of their bikes that are unique in spec and possibly limited in numbers. Now, YT Industries has released the latest Uncaged version of the IZZO. After releasing the beefier 140 mm option last year, YT goes the other direction with the IZZO Uncaged 7. Weighing in at 11.4kg/25.1lbs (size S) this short travel trail bike is a rocket on XC-like terrain and up climbs. This super-fast mountain bike in Laser Yellow is limited to a total of 300 bikes in markets around the globe with the majority being offered in Europe and North America.

GEOMETRY & FRAME

The IZZO Uncaged 7 caters to those riders looking to unleash their maximum speed on the trail. The newest addition to the IZZO platform shares the exact same frame as its other interpretations. Designed to defy all challenges the trail can throw at you the Ultra Modulus Carbon Frame is up to any task and delivers maximum performance at minimum weight. Available in sizes S to XXL with a reach ranging from 432 mm to 517 mm the IZZO Uncaged 7 has riders of all shapes and sizes covered. The key characteristics of the IZZO are uphill climbing ability, pedal efficiency, and low weight, while not forgetting the fun-loving gravity-DNA all YT bikes carry. The Uncaged 7 adds a little more spice in terms of speed and XC racing capability, which is emphasized by the high-end componentry.

SPEC

The IZZO Uncaged 7 features the Rockshox SID Ultimate fork with 120mm of travel. This perfectly balanced fork with the lightest production damper RockShox has to offer delivers the ideal blend of stiffness and weight efficiency needed for the modern XC bike. The high-end front suspension is combined with the RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate and its 120mm of travel. The SIDLuxe rear shock is all about speed and is designed for anyone looking to maximize such on the trail. For an added boost in the flat or uphill, riders can lock out the front and rear suspension thanks to the SRAM TwistLoc Full Sprint remote, to maximize the output of their input. To ensure a clean look and smooth gear shifting the IZZO Uncaged 7 sports the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset, while the AXS package is completed with the SRAM Reverb AXS.

Maximum speed also requires maximum braking performance. The SRAM G2 Ultimate brakes, sculpted from the finest materials carbon and titanium, are the lightest four-piston brake from SRAM delivering the best power to weight ratio and perfect modulation when working with the SRAM CenterLine X rotors (180mm/160mm). With weight reduction in mind, this race version of the IZZO is also spec’d with a carbon cockpit that includes the 740mm-wide and 167g-light Race Face Next SL handlebar. To round off this racy short-travel mountain bike, this IZZO runs on the lightest and fastest XCR 1200 Spline wheelset from DT Swiss in combination with fast-rolling MAXXIS Rekon Race tires.
