Dust, woods and rocks; steep lines, high-speed trails and big drops – there is no limit to the terrains that can be enjoyed with the POACHA freeride bike. And it’s exactly what ‘Poacha’s Journal’, a five-minute film following four riders riding the new GHOST bike, celebrates – freeriding freedom.
In ‘Poacha’s Journal’, athletes Tomáš Slavík, Korbinian Engstler, Christian Schriebl and Justus Rudolph take the new creation of Bavaria-based bike manufacturer GHOST to new places – and through its paces.

Freeriding is all about getting out and enjoying the kind of freedom only found on two wheels. ‘Poacha’s Journal’ takes you through dense woods, steep hills and rocky trails, throwing jumps and drops through five minutes of unleashed freeriding action.
Freeride, by definition, combines a variety of riding styles. We felt it was important to showcase multiple locations and varied terrain. The production team used high-speed cameras, race drones and cable camera systems. We wanted to keep a feeling of authenticity to the original freeride culture by including the use of 16mm film.
David Peacock and Andre Nutini, film directors
Developed together with Slavík and Engstler, the POACHA bike offers all the technical characteristics of a bike that delivers maximum performance on the toughest lines. But it’s got something else, too. In ‘Poacha’s Journal’, the animated script running through the film is told from the perspective of the bike’s builder. “It reveals the motivations behind what it means to be free on a bike,” add the directors. That’s what this movie, and the bike that comes with it, are all about – freeriding freedom.
