In first part of our trip to Swiss Graubünden we took you to the enduro trails on the nearby mountains and towns which are a part of Bike Kingdom. This time we’re gonna take you to the Bike Park Lenzerheide which is a central point of whole area and was our main station.

Newest addition to the Bike Park is two wooden letters BK which are also nice drops.

Bike Kingdom Bike Parks

Bike Kingdom includes two bike parks – Lenzerheide & Alpenbikepark Chur. In each of them we will find 5 different trails for all types of riders. Due to our short stay in Bike Kingdom we had time only for Bike Park Lenzerheide where you can find famous trail STRAIGHTline, well known from UCI MTB Downhill World Cups.

Bike Park Lenzerheide

Bike Park Lenzerheide is located between main station (1500m above sea level) & middle station (1904m above sea level) of the Rothorn-Scharmoin lift. We’ll find here 5 bike trails, beginners area and special trail LenziBike for off-road scooters, but this attraction is more for tourists than bikers.

Trails

FLOWline – only blue trail in bike park, 2.7km length & 350m vertical drop. Great trail for beginners or first run of the day. You’ll find here a lot of berms & only few jumps. During our stay last section was under construction, so you’ll be ending your run directly on Skill Center area around main lift station.

Editor Justyna on FLOWline trail.

PRIMEline – red line for jumpers with total length of 2.8km and 407m vertical drop. You’ll find here a lot of big berms & jumps, some are doubles and some have two different kickers – a lot of airtime guaranteed! Of course all harder sections have chicken ways, so even less advanced riders can ride it.

SHOREline / STYLEline – two lines, but in practice it’s a one line with only 700m of total length. Start & end are on PRIMEline, so it’s easy to find. SHOREline is a classic northshore line with easier & harder options.

In the middle section we’ll find STYLEline which was used by Thomas Genon in his & Bike Kingdom promo movie “The Legend of Tommy G”. Unfortunatly it’s only a section of drops & big jump which is perfect for tricks. After these obstacles we go back to northshores which gonna boost your adrenaline level to maximum.

There could be a lot more jumps like this on STYLEline!

STRAIGHTline – black trail well known from UCI MTB Downhill World Cups or 2018 UCI MTB Downhill World Championships. Total length of 2.2km & 415m vertical drop provides everything that downhill fan needs – very steep sections, rock gardens, roots, more roots & big high speed jumps.

STRAIGHTline is very steep from the beginning…

We didn’t shoot any video on the STRAIGHline, so you can watch how Amaury Pierron did his job & was the fastest rider on UCI DH World Cup round in 2019.

Trust me, it was steep!

Skill Center – beginners area located next to the main lift station. You can find here a lot of obstacles perfect to learn new skills, like jumps, drops or wooden bridges. We can also count to Skill Center two big wooden drops (BK letters).

Pumptrack – there’s also asphalt pumptrack in the center of Lenzerheide town. We were there only on foot, but if you find a minute to ride it, you won’t be disappointed.

There was B for the beginning, now it’s K for the end :)

Bike Kingdom App

A special application for phones has been created to facilitate moving around the region. It is a very interesting application that has all the most important information from the region in it. In addition to news or route maps, you can also find here a litte bit of competition.

The creators made something like clan competition. The entire region has been divided into areas, and we can choose to join one of the three groups (flow, drop, shred). Here we will find a lot of challenges to complete, for which we earn experience points, and sometimes you can win real prizes. Recording of traveled routes takes place via Strava App.

You can find more information about Bike Kingdom App on this website.

Useful informations

  • Route from Warsaw to Lenzerheide is more than 1300 kilometeres and it should take 13-15h drive.
  • You need a vignette for Swiss motorways. There is only one, one year for 40CHF (~ 160PLN). Important information: at night or after 6 p.m., forget about buying it at the station in Switzerland, because everything is closed after 6.
  • You should be ready to pay for everything, there’s no free parking even at the hotel.
  • When it comes to accommodation, it is worth choosing Revier Mountain Lodge, which is not only located right next to the Lenzerheide Bike Park, but also offers a limited number of daily passes at a much better price. 12CHF during the week or 24CHF at the weekend instead of 48CHF directly in the bike park. And this view of the lake from the apartment window!
  • Switzerland is generally not a cheap country, especially for Poles, but the prices do not differ significantly from the European ones, but we pay in francs. For a simple estimate, for breakfast at Revier Mountain Lodge they want 18CHF (~ 75PLN), and dinner in the city costs 25CHF (~ 100PLN) on average.
  • In the main season Bike Parks Lenzerheide & Chur are open daily from 8.30am to 5pm.
  • The full ticket price list can be found here. Passes are valid at all lifts included in Bike Kingdom (Arosa, Lenzerheide, Chur), the GraVity Card is also accepted.
