Epic Bikepark Leogang was established exactly 25 years ago as the first official bike park in Austria. It will celebrate a quarter of a century in the 2026 season, and to celebrate, in collaboration with the Rasoulution agency and local tourism offices, we have prepared a three-part article that will provide a closer look at Austria’s largest bike region, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. For the first stop, we invite you to Fieberbrunn.

25 years of Bikepark Leogang – Fieberbrunn
Fieberbrunn is a small town in the Kitzbühel district of Tirol, with a population of just over 4,000. The official cooperation between Fieberbrunn and Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang began in December 2015 with the merger of ski areas. The merger of trails and bike tickets for mountain biking followed five years later.
Mountainbikers are served by the Streuböden lift, rebuilt in 2024, which utilizes comfortable 10-person gondolas. Interestingly, it was built thanks in part to a crowdfunding campaign, where 200 backers raised over €600,000! The T-bar lift (with Easy Loop system) used in the beginners’ area was also modernized. In the summer, it is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The lower lift station is located at an altitude of 839m a.s.l., and the upper one is almost twice as high, at an altitude of 1,645m a.s.l.. The bike trails start at the middle station at an altitude of 1,214m a.s.l.. Here you will also find many attractions offered by Fieberbrunn – restaurants, rest areas or the Timok’s Wild World family park (use is free, only the Alpine Coaster requires a fee).
Fieberbrunn is a family-friendly destination. There are plenty of attractions for children, such as the previously mentioned Timok’s Wild World, including Timok’s Alpine Coaster, and places where everyone in the family will find something to enjoy. Bike trails are suitable for beginners or whole families, so they’re great start to kick off your trip or just have fun without pressure.
Fun fact: during our trip, we happened upon the KAT100 by UTMB running event. This 100-mile (169km) race, renowned in the running world, started in the heart of Fieberbrunn, right outside our hotel. Just before the start, a heavy thunderstorm began, so we definitely didn’t envy the participants.
Bike Lines & Trails
Compared to the rest of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang region, Fieberbrunn offers a relatively modest range of trails for mountainbikers. There are three well-maintained trails on site, designed for the whole family. Two of them are blue flow trails, and the third is a natural and technical red line. At the valley station, there is a beginner’s area, served by a T-bar lift with the Easy Loop system. For the 2026 season, the trails will be open from May 14th until November 1st.
Schweinestberg Line
Blue flow trail with a length of 3.8km and 330m elevation drop.
The Schweinestberg Line is the first trail to be built in the complex, completed in 2021. It is a blue flow line that offers plenty of smooth berms, rollers and small jumps, as well as plenty of riding fun.
Streuböden Line
Blue flow trail with a length of 2.8km and 300m elevation drop.
The Streuböden Line is a typical blue flow line, created in 2025. Wide berms, rollers and small jumps make this trail a lot of fun. Its flowing layout and the possibility to build up speed add an extra dose of excitement and make every ride even more enjoyable.
Iglmoos Trail
Red technical trail with a length of 1.8km and 150m elevation drop.
This trail was created in 2023 and extended for the 2026 season. It’s a red, narrow and technical single trail. It features numerous root sections, some rocks and a few steep sections, along with plenty of flat, traverse-style turns that will surely test your bike control.
Hänsn-Übungsline – begginers’ area
Trail length: 900m, elevation drop: 70m.
The beginners’ area features one green line and another, which serves as a shortcut for those leaving the Streuböden Line. It’s located at the bottom station of the Streuböden lift and is served by a T-bar lift. There are also several small jumps at the bottom.
Summary
Lines & Trails Fieberbrunn is the newest member of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn cycling region, and it’s clear that this place is still developing. The trail selection is small, but they are well-maintained and riding them is a lot of fun and allows you to test your riding skills.

For us, it was the perfect start to a trip through the region. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves, and we also discovered a new place worth visiting during a family vacation. There’s something for everyone here, and that’s the point, right?
In my opinion, Fieberbrunn is the perfect place for beginners or for a family getaway, where riding a bike is a nice addition to your vacation. This small, but charming and idyllic town boasts infrastructure that allows both children and adults to have a great time.

We currently have four trails available, but I’m hoping for more in the future. The blue lines are designed to help beginners feel more confident on their bikes, while advanced riders can treat the bumps like jumps, maximizing their enjoyment. The red trail requires considerable technical skill at times, but also showcases the potential of the surrounding forests.
The trails were in excellent condition, and we enjoyed both the minor obstacles and the technical elements. While there, be sure to set aside time for activities outside of mountainbiking – Timok’s Alpine Coaster is great fun for even older kids :)

- Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is Austria’s largest bike region, located approximately 1,100 km from Warsaw. Depending on your destination, the drive takes 12-14 hours.
- Fieberbrunn is the only collaborating town located in the Tirol region. The other places are located in the Salzburg area.
- Bike tickets are valid throughout the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn region and start at €66 (one day). Additional discounts are also available, such as online purchases or purchases with the Joker Card (Saalbach Hinterglemm).
- The Gravity Card is accepted throughout the cycling region.
- For eMTB users (or enduro riders in very good shape), “THE CHALLENGE – Bike your limit” is a challenge designed to explore the entire region by bike. The 92.68km long route features 300m of climbing and 5615m of descent, with the chance to win prizes in a drawing.
- The local accommodation options are well-developed, and you can easily find a place to stay even in the high season. We recommend the 4* Hotel Alte Post, which also offers excellent cuisine and fantastic service.
- After riding the Lines & Trails Fieberbrunn, it is worth going to the nearby Lauchsee lake.
